"Blackfin to Relocate Conroe Gas Compressor Station"
๐ฐ READ THE FULL STORYJudge Grants Temporary Injunction
A judge has temporarily blocked construction while the legal case continues. This is a crucial first step, but the fight is far from over.
IMPORTANT: This is a temporary victory
The injunction only pauses construction while the court case proceeds. We must continue advocating and staying engaged throughout the legal process.

โ ๏ธ Engineer warns of 'extreme danger'
The hearing between Bartholet and Blackfin finished up on September 4, 2025. In closing statements from the Judge he will be ruling on law and evidence, not sympathy from either side. He was very appreciative of the community interest in the case.
The judge stated that this will most likely be appealed with either ruling and will go to the 9th district and potentially the Supreme Court. The case is unique in the fact that it is a covenant restriction case/nuisance case vs. public utilities. A lot of different laws intersect in this particular case.
He did not make a ruling but is hoping to have one by the end of next week. (week ending 9/12/25)

M. Doyle Sanders, P.E., Texas Professional Engineer with over 50 years in gas pipeline design, called this location "extreme and unprecedented danger." He was so alarmed he filed a formal complaint with the Texas Railroad Commission on August 6, 2025.
Why This Location is Catastrophic: 30,000+ HP compressor station yards from I-45. Estimated 144 gas blowdowns per year. No emergency water backup. Industrial equipment in populated area. Highway destruction eliminates evacuation routes.
This isn't just about Conroe, Grand Central Park, or River Plantation. Every I-45 commuter drives through this death zone daily.
